Welcome to The Wild Orange Tree.

This is a place where women are invited to reconnect with themselves with compassion and curiosity. Here your pelvic health, mental health and the realities of everyday life are never treated as separate stories – they are understood as deeply interconnected parts of your experience.

Wherever you are in your womanhood, mothering or rite of passage journey, I’m so glad you’re here.

*A reminder that I am located in Queensland which remains on Australia Eastern Standard Time (AEST) – please check and select your own time zone when booking your appointment

There are seasons in life that can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

Perhaps your body feels unfamiliar after birth, surgery or years of pain. Maybe you’ve been told “everything looks good” but something still doesn’t feel quite right. You might carry a birth story, pregnancy loss or other life experience that still feels heavy in your body.

Perhaps you’ve lost sight of who you are beneath the many roles you hold. You may find yourself caught in overwhelm, moving through the motions, or wondering why talking about your experiences hasn’t quite created the change you long for.

Or perhaps you are preparing for what lies ahead – wanting to approach conception, pregnancy, birth, recovery or another season of womanhood with greater confidence, understanding and connection to your body.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t need to navigate it alone.

At The Wild Orange Tree, my work as a women’s and maternal health occupational therapist is grounded in the understanding that your body, mind, nervous system and daily habits and rhythms are inseparable. Together we explore the patterns or challenges that are keeping you stuck, find ways to reconnect with your body’s wisdom, and create meaningful changes that support the life you want to live.

Combining contemporary evidence with embodied practices and deep respect for matrescence and rite of passage, this is care that honours not only your symptoms but your whole story.

I’m Janelle, an occupational therapist with a passion for women’s health, pelvic health, mental health and the significant transitions that shape our lives. Whether you’re navigating pelvic health concerns, pain, emotional wellbeing, identity changes, menstrual health, pregnancy, motherhood or another season entirely, my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion and practical support.

Because coming home to yourself isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about remembering who you’ve been all along.

I proudly work from Gubbi Gubbi land where people have lived, birthed and mothered long before me.

On this website I use the words woman and mother while acknowledging that there are others who birth and menstruate. My approaches explore and acknowledge the gendered nuances of feminine transitions for people who identify as women and mothers, and I am available to support anyone who resonates with my ways of work.

Did you know that the position of your uterus can impact your pelvic, menstrual and emotional wellbeing?
