A Body Mind Spirit Womb Approach To Working With Women and Mothers

As occupational therapists we know how important it is to focus on the whole person. Not just what is happening in the body or mind, but how environments and everyday activities interact too. And when we support women to navigate mothering and other rite of passage transitions this is more apparent than ever.

When we start applying our existing clinical knowledge to the area of women’s health, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain about what we have to offer. Once you dive in and start providing women’s health services you may also feel called to dig a little deeper into how you can support people in a way that respects traditional mother wisdom or spiritual and energetic aspects of rite of passage.

My approach brings awareness to the deep interconnectedness of physical and pelvic health with mental or emotional wellbeing. I also overlay the context of menstrual cycles and feminine biorhythms, stages of rite of passage, matrescence and the universal needs of women as they make mothering transitions. With almost twenty years working as an occupational therapist, and now in private practice focusing on women’s health and wellbeing, I would love to be your coach and guide as you find your own unique pathway into serving women or mothers.

My business coaching can also focus on balancing your own pelvic energy, or using menstrual cycle wisdom to nourish and sustain yourself by planning life and work around your own inner rhythms for greater ease and impact.
