Welcome to The Wild Orange Tree. You have found a place where you can be empowered to connect to your body wisdom, plan for mothering transitions and recover vitality.

This is embodied pelvic care, and integrated mind body support for mothers that honours the mother rite of passage.

Because mental health, pelvic health and menstrual cycles can get in the way of living everyday life.

Becoming a mother is one of the most significant rites of passage you will ever experience. However the journey from pre-conception through to postpartum can significantly challenge your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

It might feel like your body has let you down, and you are uncertain how to come back from feeling so broken. Maybe you have been told that your body has healed but you feel far from OK. Perhaps a birth or mothering story feels heavy in your body and you can’t work out how to shift it.

You may sense that you have lost yourself and want to explore who you actually are as a woman or mother, but find that talking barely touches the surface of the enormous changes you have experienced. You might feel confused as you hold joy and grief in various measures, all at the same time. Maybe you are drowning in overwhelm or immobilised by other heavy feelings.

Maybe you are looking for different ways to approach conception, pregnancy, birth and recovery that get you out of your head and into your body. Perhaps your heart is seeking honest conversation about the unspoken realities of life and this mothering journey.

Combining current evidence and education with traditional approaches to mother care, you can claim the strength of your feminine rhythms. And strong women make powerful mothers.

My name is Janelle and I am a mother carving out my own path to vitality. As an occupational therapist I can work with you to explore and understand the challenges you are experiencing, or know, are ahead. Whether you are have questions or are experiencing difficulties with your pelvic health, mental health or menstrual cycles, we will nurture your confidence and belief in yourself. Together we can set goals and plan a way forward that works for you. I would love to be a part of your journey as you prepare, transition and grow into the mother that you want or need to be.

I proudly work from Gubbi Gubbi Country where people have lived, birthed and mothered long before me

On this website I use the words woman and mother while acknowledging that there are others who birth and menstruate. My approaches explore and acknowledge the gendered nuances of feminine transitions for people who identify as women and mothers, and I am available to support anyone who resonates with my ways of work.

Did you know that the position of your uterus can impact your pelvic, menstrual and emotional wellbeing?
